Fashion designers develop new styles and products for clothing apparel and accessories by creating original designs or by adapting fashions to suit local conditions, trends and buyers. They are the ones who approve finals samples before they go into production. The designers begins the designers process only after through market research, i.e., understanding the needs of the client/market in terms of changing trends, budget etc. Fashion designers need to be artistic, creative and must process ability to translate ideas in sketches, must have keen sense of color i.e., combination of shades and tones, visual imagination & knowledge of market trends.
Choosing a right career option is the most vital decision in everyone life. Students may go through a dilemma of choosing a career after completing their intermediate level. Apart from the top paying and common career option such as Medical, Engineering, Management, Chartered Accountancy etc. numerous other options are available in the field of Health Care, Travel and Tourism, Media and so on. The choice of a career depends on the job prospects of the field and most certainly the interest of the candidate. Fashion technology has a wide scope for choosing a career. Now the fashion industry has become so specialized that it encompasses a vast field of studies in design, concept management, design production management, quality control, planning, fabric design, printing, fashion accessory design, fashion merchandising, textile science, color mixing, marketing and so on.
Considering the present demand of Bangladeshi Garments in the international market, students should come forward and choose their career as Fashion Designer.
